3.3 Prenatal Diagnostics

During the coursework, students can participate in performing fetal ultrasound. Students actively participate in the diagnosis of pregnancy abnormalities. Observation of clinical cases allows students to follow the diagnosis and management of various clinical problems in the field of obstetrics.

Hours requiring the presence of a teacher:
- exercises – 6 hours,

- preparation for classes and exam – 2 hours,
- reading literature – 2 hours,

The student knows:
W1. the woman's reproductive functions, related disorders and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures concerning in particular pregnancy and prenatal diagnostic methods (F.W9)
W2 issues of contemporary imaging tests, in particular radiological symptomatology of basic pregnancy abnormalities, (F.W10)
Learning outcomes - skills
The student can:
U1. recognize signs and symptoms indicating an abnormal course of pregnancy (F.U13.)
U2. interpret the results of the physical examination of the pregnant woman (arterial pressure, maternal and fetal heart function) and the results of laboratory tests indicating pathologies of pregnancy ( F.U14.)

Correction exam:
Depending on the size of the improving group - the form of credit in the form of a test or an oral form.
The head of the Clinic decides about the final form of the make-up exam.
