Prerequisites
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology of cardiovascular system (completion of subjects - Anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system and Pathology of the cardiovascular system).
Physical examination of adult patient.
Basic knowledge of laboratory tests used in cardiovascular diseases.
Basic knowledge of ECG interpretation.
Basic knowledge of medications used in cardiovascular diseases treatment.

Assessment criteria
To complete the module "Cardiovascular Diseases", the student must attend the required number of hours of exercises, seminars and lectures for each of the subjects in the module.
The module examination consists of partial examinations for each of the subjects under the conditions specified in the subject’s syllabus. The final grade is a statistical weighted average, where the grade in the course of "Cardiology" has a "weight" of 60%, the grade in the course of "Surgery of the heart and vessels" - 25% and the grade in the course of "Cardiac Surgery" - 15%.
