8.6. Otoneurology

The classes are designed to teach the subject and physical examination of the otonerological examination. They will become familiar with the apparatus examinations of the vestibular organ (VNG, ENG, VEMP, SEP, Posturography). They learn the diagnosis and treatment methods of Meniera's disease, BPPV, neuronitis vestibularis, VBI, vestibular migraine, epilepsy vestibular, sudden and chronic labyrinth diseases.
Total student workload
1. The workload related to the classes requiring the direct participation of academic teachers is:
- participation in exercises: 10 hours
- participation in the seminar: 2 hours
- consultation: 1 hour
The workload related to the activities requiring the direct participation of academic teachers amounts to
13 hours, corresponding to 0.52 ECTS points
2. Balance of student workload:
- participation in exercises and seminar: 12 hours
- consultation: 1 hour
- preparation for exercises (including reading the indicated literature): 7 hours
