Preparation for Medical Final Examination (LEK) - Family Medicine

The seminars are aimed at consolidating knowledge about antipyretic procedures, vaccinations for children and adults, respiratory infections, infectious diseases, the most common children's diseases and lifestyle diseases in relation to the questions taken from the Final Medical Examination.
Additionally, family medicine classes are aimed at shaping the medical attitude expected in the practice of a family doctor.
Total student workload
1. The workload associated with activities requiring direct participation of academic teachers is:
- participation in seminars: 6 hours;
- consultations: 0,5 hour;
- credit: 0,5 hour;
The workload associated with classes requiring direct participation of academic teachers is 7 hours, corresponding to 0,28 ECTS credits.
2. Study hours involving individual student work:
- participation in seminars - 6 hours;
- preparation for seminars: 0,5 hour;
- consultations: 0,5 hour;
- preparation for credit: 0,5 hour;
The total student workload is 7,5 hours, which corresponds to 0,3 ECTS credits.
3. Workload related to scientific research:
- reading of the indicated scientific literature: 2 hours;
- participation in seminars (including results of research and scientific studies in the field of family medicine): 3 hours;
- preparation for credit (including scientific studies in the field of family medicine): 0,5 hour;
- consultations (including scientific studies in the field of family medicine): 0.5 hour;
The total amount of student work associated with the conducted research is 6 hours, which corresponds to 0,24 ECTS credits.
4. Time required for preparation and participation in the assessment process:
- preparation for credit: 0,5 hour (0,02 ECTS)

The student should have knowledge in the field of: internal diseases, pediatrics, dermatology, ophthalmology, prevention of lifestyle diseases.

Assessment criteria
The condition for passing the seminar is active participation in the scheduled classes. During the seminar, prolonged observation of the student is carried out in order to determine the assessment of social competences (pass >60%). The student is obliged to make up all absences in the form indicated by the teacher.
