3.4. Law in Regard to Pregnancy

Classes conducted in the form of lectures. Lectures include an analysis of the latest sources of law regulating issues related to pregnancy, including the Penal Code, the Family Planning Act, the Act on Patient Rights and the Patient Rights Ombudsman, and case law.

The student knows and understands:
W1: legal regulations regarding the provision of health services, patient rights, labor law, the basics of practicing the medical profession and the functioning of the medical self-government (G.W5.)
W2: legal regulations regarding transplants, artificial procreation, abortion, aesthetic procedures, palliative treatment, mental illness (G.W9.)
W3: legal regulations regarding medical confidentiality, keeping medical records, criminal, civil and professional liability of a doctor (G.W11.)

The student is able to:
