6.3. Pathomorphology – Autopsy

Tutorials: During Pathomorphology - Autopsy classes student will become familiar with the autopsy, especially with the external examination. A post-mortem examination supported by histopathological examinations fulfills a didactic and educational role for students and physicians as well as a control and diagnostic in correlation to clinical diagnoses.
During Pathomorphology – Autopsy tutorials, students perform external examinations of the corpse together with the assistant. In addition, during the tutorials a demonstration film from the autopsy is demonstrated and the autopsy technique is discussed, taking into account the sections in special circumstances. In addition, the differentiation of the autopsy technique for newborns is considered.

Prerequisites
For the realization of the subject Pathomorphology - Autopsy, is necessary to have basic knowledge in the field of anatomy, cell biology, histology, biology and genetics.

Assessment criteria
The condition for obtaining credits in Pathomorphology – Autopsy classes is following the rules set out in the Didactic Regulations of the Department of Clinical Pathomorphology.
I. Form and conditions for obtaining credits:
1) Presence is compulsory at all tutorials.
2) Obtaining credits - according to the system of verification of Education Outcomes Obtaining credits from the subject “Pathomorphology –Autopsy; From Conception to Death” is conditioned on the attendance on tutorials.
3) For the tutorials’ students are obliged to be prepared within the scope of currently binding problems and issues provided for in the timetable of classes and in Syllabi, which will be systematically verified by academic teachers. Methods of verification of the Education Outcomes as regards to knowledge, practical skills and social competence are referred to by a person conducting the classes on the first meeting with students, with consideration for detailed description of ways of verification and criteria.
II. Conditions for making up for the classes that were abandoned due to justified reasons or classes not credited by other reasons
1) Obtaining credits from the subject “Pathomorphology –Autopsy; From Conception to Death” is conditioned on the attendance on tutorials.
