Introduction to the biblical medieval exegesis of Thomas Aquinas 1500-F-IB-SJ
The course intends to offer an introduction to the biblical medieval exegesis of Thomas Aquinas. It will concentrate on the methods used in reading Scripture by Aquinas and in the second part these methods will be illustrated by a careful reading an analysis of selected passages from Aquinas’s Commentary on the Gospel of Matthew.

Assessment criteria
Assessment methods:
- attendance: 70% (70 pts)
- final paper (ca. 500 words or 1 pages): 30% (30 pts) -
Student needs to demonstrate in the paper that his is able to understand and critical approach one of the themes commented during the
lectures.
