The university-wide course in English. The introduction to conservation focusing on library, museum and archival materials. Overview of wide range of objects mainly on paper and leather supports. There are discussed recommended condition for storage, exhibition and transport. Evaluation of the condition of the object. Preventive conservation. There are presented conservation treatment procedures of various types of objects with examples. The importance of examination in the decision- making process are discussed. The role of the of the conservator in the institutions.
