(in Polish) Contact hours with teacher:
1/ contact hours (laboratory) - 20 h in winter semester
Self-study hours:
1/ analysis of relevant judgments, legislation and other documents - 10 h;
2/ preparation of written submissions for a selected competition - 40 h;
3/ preparation for oral pleadings for a selected competition - 20 h
Altogether: 90 hrs (3 ECTS)
Learning outcomes - knowledge
(in Polish) W1 - student has a thorough understanding of how to construct a logical and compelling legal argument;
W2 - student obtains knowledge concerning the most relevant international law standards applicable to particular case studies;
W3 - student is familiar with English language terminology concerning the topic;
W4 - student acquires knowledge concerning the relevant decisions and practice of selected international arbitration bodies;
W5 - student is familiar with the relevant judgments of the International Court of Justice, judgments of the European Court of Human Rights (and other international human rights protection bodies),
Learning outcomes - skills
(in Polish) U1 - student is able to identify, analyze and interpret relevant international law provisions;
U2 - student can critically approach both the normative standards and the case-law;
U3 - student is able to present written and oral submissions (improved litigation skills)
U4 - student can build a legal argument and support it with relevant sources;
U5 - student is able to research the subject matter independently
Learning outcomes - social competencies
(in Polish) K1 - student improves his/her abilities to work in a team;
