(in Polish) Culture, animals and environment through archaeozoology/zooarchaeology 1201-OG-EN-CAEAZ
In the Polish lands, as in Europe, highlights a number of archaeological cultures. Their development and changes in ideology and economy were the result of interplay of many factors. The significant was the world fauna and ongoing changes to it. With remains of animal bone, examined more than a hundred years, were concluded a number of processes in the culture and fauna. Highlighted the mutual relationships of these spheres.
During the course, students will learn the history of the human resource management of wildlife, ranging from the Paleolithic to modern times. The key issues will be included: the development of hunting, fishing, introduction of agriculture (with breeding mammals, birds and fish). These issues will be discussed in the context of environmental changes.

Assessment criteria
Methods: seminar assisted with multimedia presentations, discussion with students on problems related to the topic defined during each lesson.
Criteria:
– involved in discussions during the conversation with evaluation: not active – grade 2 (unsatisfactory), active not systematically – 3 (satisfactory), active systematically – 4 (good), very active and creative in thinking – 5 (very good);
– final credit – written test with five question for answer: every answer – 2 score; below 5 – unsatisfactory (2), 5< 6 – satisfactory (3), 6<7 – better than satisfactory (3,5), 7<8 – good (4), 8<9 – better than good (4,5), 9–10 – very good (5).
