(in Polish) Team Building in Tourism

The objectives of this seminar are to:
-to develop an understanding of the personality and behavioural aspects of leadership,
-to develop an ability to connect leadership issues derived from a management perspective with other perspectives,
-to draw attention to interpersonal skills such as: listening skills, empathy and the ability to apply these in daily life,
-to develop an ability to reflect on inner talents, values, attitudes, perceptions,
-to develop self – awareness, and the ability to understand one’s own behaviour and emotions.
The content of the module is classified into five interrelated sections :
1. Group building skills and dynamics (25 per cent)
2. Interpersonal communication skills (20 per cent)
3. coping with stress and conflict (15 per cent)
4. Personal development and resources (40 per cent)
5. Motivation and task delegation (10 per cent)
Total student workload
Classes requiring the direct participation of the teacher – lecture, practical classes: 15 hrs. (1.0 ECTS)
Self-study: Preparation for lectures (reading, reflecting on a given topic, collecting data) 25 hrs. (1 ECTS)
Team-work: Preparation for lectures (Collecting data, analyzing a case study, producing a report and a presentation) 25 hrs. (1 ECTS)
TOTAL: 80 hrs. (3 ECTS
Learning outcomes - knowledge

A student:
1. knows, understands, and considers – from the perspective of group management theory ( group behaviour in particular) – social processes in organisations and their roots, mutual relations and long-term consequences K_W02_M_01
2. has a thorough knowledge of human behaviours in a group at the individual, team and organisational level K_W06_M_01

A student can:
produce through written reports and oral presentations on team building topics in English (L2) at the B2+ level K_U11_M_01
