Business Law 1155-12-M21-0-BuLaw
Business law, also known as commercial law, is the body of law that applies to the rights, relations, and other businesses activity in commerce, merchandising, production, trade, and sales etc. It is often considered to be a branch of civil law and deals with issues of both private law and public law.
As civil law is the most prevalent legal system in the modern world and the oldest in human history and is also a base for business law during lecture provisions of a main source of civil law in Poland that is The Civil Code (1964) should be mainly described.
The legal concept of “doing business” is best described in Polish law in the Law of Entrepreneurs (2018). Many of the laws governing business operations are contained in the Code of Commercial Companies (2000) which covers forms in which companies and partnerships do business.

3. Main rules of investment process. Public aid and support for business regulations (2 h) - W2, U1, U2
4. Elements of obligations, employment relations and jurisdiction rules (2 h) - W2, U1, U2

There are kinds of topics:
I. BUSINESS ENTITIES OPERATING IN POLAND
Please think of a business you would like to start in Poland. Describe it generally and elaborate how would you plan to realize it taking into account MOSTLY LEGAL ISSUES. Note that the idea is not evaluated here but the way you solve the legal issues, especially what kind of business entity you choose and why. Take into account any requirements (permits, necessary funding, who you start the business with, what will be the scale of operations, etc.).
This is a basic version of a paper. Any additional elements (info what are the differences in organization of your firm and its operations comparing different systems, for example in different countries; what are the possibilities to get funds for this start-up, etc.) will improve the note.
II. YOU CAN SELECT ANY TOPIC FROM THE BELOW AND ELABORATE ON THIS DESCRIBING POLAND, THE EU AND/OR LEGAL SYSTEM OD ANY OTHER COUNTRY/REGION. NOTE THAT THESE ARE TOPICS NOT COVERED DURING THE LECTURE AND THE SOURCES WERE NOT PROVIDED SO IT IS AN INDEPENDENT DESK RESEARCH WORK. IT CAN BE BASED IN POLISH SYSTEM, IN YOUR OWN/SELECTED COUNTRY SYSTEM OR DESCRIBED AS GLOBAL ISSUE (but please remember about actual examples not include just general statements).
Also here I will appreciate not only describing the issue (remember about references!) but your own opinions and conclusions concerning the issue. You can – for example – answer the questions like: Is this a global problem? Is this a problem in your country? What are the best practices that could help to improve the situation in a system you describe?
1. What makes a country attractive for business activity and investments? Please take into account different perspectives (scale of operations, origin of investor, etc.).
2. An analysis of antitrust laws and their effectiveness in promoting fair competition.
3. The impact of intellectual property laws on innovation and creativity in the business world.
4. The responsibility of corporations towards environmental protection and sustainable development.
5. The legal implications of data privacy and security in the digital age.
6. An examination of labor laws and their effect on the rights of employees and employers.
7. The role of alternative dispute resolution methods in resolving business disputes.
8. An analysis of consumer protection laws and their effectiveness in safeguarding consumer rights.
9. An examination of the impact of international trade laws and treaties on global business.
10. The consequences of the war in Ukraine for the business in a given country/region.
