This course is intended to provide students with knowledge of project management methodology that will allow them to manage projects efficiently. It discusses the tasks and challenges fundamental to project management as well as relevant tools, techniques and skills required to ensure that the project meets its deliverables and is completed within budget and on schedule. Students will prepare a plan and conduct a risk analysis for an actual project, gaining valuable practical experience, including using appropriate software.

Assessment methods:
• team projects (two assignments),
• final test,
• continuous evaluation during classes.
In order to obtain positive grade from Project Management it is required to receive positive grades (at least satisfactory) from the exam and both assignments.
Team projects:
Assignment 1 (30%; it has to be passed) – U1, U2, U3
Assignment 2 (30%; it has to be passed) – W1, U1, U2, U3
Evaluation criteria: purpose, organization, content (completeness, correctness and relevance), quality of data and information, quality of conclusions, form and quality of presentation
Final test composed of tasks to solve (40%; it has to be passed) - W1, U1
Evaluation criteria: correctness of the approach, correctness of the way of solving tasks, correctness of the calculations, completeness and correctness of the solutions, correctness of the results’ interpretation.
Final test grade:
fail: less than 50%
satisfactory: [50%-60%)
satisfactory plus: [60%-70%)
good: [70%-80%)
good plus: [80%-90%)
very good: 90% or more
Continuous evaluation during classes - W1, U1, U2, U3
Bonus points for the active participation in the classes (they will result in final test result increasing) and malus points for being unable to solve tasks based on the material explained earlier (they will result in final test result decreasing), homework.
