Assessment criteria
LECTURES: Individual presentation, final test, class participation.
1/ INDIVIDUAL PRESENTATION: 50% (20 points).
Consists of written part (in .doc or .docx format) and oral presentation.
Assessment criteria for written part: originality (any form of plagiarism is unacceptable); clarity of thoughts/arguments; concise and complete project; properly prepared in technical terms (font, footnotes, spacing, etc.).
Assessment criteria for oral presentation: consistency of arguments in presented content - correctness in terms of substance.
Grades will be based on accuracy and quality of economic content as well as the effectiveness of both slides and verbal presentation.
2/ FINAL TEST: 50% (20 points).
Consists of 20 multiple choice questions (1 point each question).
3/ Bonus 'pluses' for the ACTIVE PARTICIPATION in the classes (they will result in an increase of final grade).
FINAL GRADES:
2/fail - [0%-50%] of the possible number of points (0-20 points)
3/satisfactory – (50%-60%] of the possible number of points (21-24 points)
3+/satisfactory plus – (60%-70%] of the possible number of points (25-28 points)
4/good – (70%-80%] of the possible number of points (29-32 points)
4+/good plus – (80%-90%] of the possible number of points (33-36 points)
5/very good – (90%-100%] of the possible number of points (37-40 points)
IMPORTANT:
To pass this course, a student has to have at least 50% of total points from individual presentation and at least 50% of total points from final test.
