1. Introduction to the EU: EU functioning, EU institutions, EU facts & figures.
2. The most important European sources of funding for development projects available between 2021 and 2027, and ideas for future funds
3. Cohesion policy as a tool of socio-economic development of the EU.
4. The tasks, principles, conditions, functions and tools of the EU cohesion policy.
5. National implementation system of structural funds and Cohesion Fund on the example of Poland.
6. Elementary European project management issues: definition and stages of project management, conditions for project management resulting from Community's rules of the structural funds and Cohesion Fund, finance management in European projects, monitoring of the project's realization, controlling the realization of the project, rules and methods of project's evaluation.
7. Application for funding from Structural Funds – preparing a draft of project proposal.

Contact hours with teacher: - participation in lectures- 15 hrs - consultations- 25 hrs Student's Individual preparation - preparation for lectures- 10 hrs Time required to prepare and to participate in the assessment process: preparation for writing project and preparing for final presentation and passing final test: 30 hrs

W1 knows and understands the role of EU Project in development of the local, regional, national, and transnational levels. (K_W02).

Learning outcomes - skills

U1 uses economic terminology to describe measures and specific cases of the EU Projects (K_U09) U2 uses English written and oral assignmnet on the EU Projects (K_U10)

Learning outcomes - social competencies

K1: is able to identify the examples of successful and unsuccessul EU Projects (K_K04); K2: is able to work in a group on a common project and communicate its result with others (K_K04).

- project - written part and oral presentation 50%

3+/satisfactory plus - [60%-70%] of the possible number of points,
4/good - [70%-80%] of the possible number of points,
4+/good plus - [80%-90%] of the possible number of points,
5/very good - [90%-100%] of the possible number of points.
