Public finance and tax system 1100-12-G12-IC-FPSP
The course is conducted in the form of a lecture and complementary classes. The lecture will include the presentation of the following issues (K_W03):
1. Subject of public finance as science.
2. Review of the most important theories of public finance.
3. Functions of public finance.
4. System of public finance.
5. Public revenue.
6. Economic and social effects of taxes.
7. Public expenditure.
8. Budget balance.
9. Public debt.
10. Fiscal policy.
As part of the classes, students will gain more detailed knowledge about current solutions regarding the following issues (K_W04, K_U03):
1. Budget system and state budget.
2. Budget procedure and budget calendar.
3. Budget classification.
4. System of state budget revenue with particular emphasis on taxes.
5. The system of state budget expenditure.
6. State budget balance.
7. Organizational forms of budgetary economy.
8. Public aid

10. European funds

Classes: final grade taking into account the assessment of the essay/presentation and test.
Assessment method - it is required to obtain 50% of the possible points to pass the course.
<50% - 60%) – satisfactory (D),
<60% - 70%) - satisfactory plus (D+),
<70% - 80%) – good (C),
<80% - 90%) - good plus (very good B),
<90% - 100%> - excellent (A)
Written examination - W1 +++, W2 +++
