The lecture includes the following topics:
1. Euler’s equations of fluid dynamics, sound waves.
2. Selfgravitating fluids - Poisson’s equation, convective and
gravitational (Jeans) instabilities.
3. Shock waves, stellar explosions.
4. Bernouli’s equation, spherical accretion and winds, vorticity
equation, Kelvin’s theorem of vorticity conservation.
5. Raileigh-Taylor and Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities.
6. Viscous flows, Navier-Stokes equation, Reynolds number.
7. Turbulence and hydrodynamics of accretion disks.
8. Thermal (Field's) instability. Hydrodynamical processes in star
formation
