Physics Laboratory 0800-PA-PHYSLAB
Physics Laboratory is a laboratory where students make 3 advanced experiments selected from various fields of Physics. Experiments are selected from the following list:
- Laser anemometry (Doppler effect),
- Zeeman effect in atoms,
- Determination of the ratio e/kB and the energy gap in semiconductors,
- Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR),
- Compton effect,
- Franck-Hertz experiment
- Optical Tweezers / Atomic Force Microscope.
Each experiment has a separate list of literature references, provided by a supervisor. Each experiment requires from student to: prepare theoretical background description, prepare experimental setup and make an experiment, analyze results and prepare a report in a form similar to scientific publication.

Assessment criteria
Assessment methods:
- colloquium - W1, W2, U1, U2, K1
- written report - U3, U4, K2
Assessment criteria:
The student is required to complete 3 experimental tasks. The task consists of: passing a colloquium on theoretical knowledge of the task, and presenting a written report of completed experiment. The report should contain the description of the experiment and its results. Each task is assessed taking into account the above-mentioned 2 elements (colloquium and report) with equal weights.
