Diploma seminar 0800-PA-DIPSEM
The scope of the seminar covers the topics of master's theses prepared by students. Each student delivers at least two lectures, presenting the general background of his work, its intentions and methods used, and the results obtained. Each lecture is followed by a discussion of all seminar participants on its content, and then - a discussion on the technical and formal aspects of the quality of the presentation and speech. Moreover, each student presents a written essay introducing them to the problems of their diploma thesis. This thesis, after approval by the tutor, may become a chapter of the master's thesis.

Assessment criteria
The seminar is subject to a grade, which mainly consists of the evaluation of the papers, the evaluation of the written work, but also the evaluation of participation in the discussions on the problems presented by other participants of the seminar. The assessment also takes into account the compliance (failure to meet) the deadlines.
Papers (presentations) are assessed taking into account:
- their formal structure (including keeping the allotted time),
- transparency of presentation,
- substantive correctness of the presented content,
- manner of expression,
- the ability to focus the attention of the audience.
When assessing written works, it is particularly required:
- structure,
- precise and original wording,
- proper citation of sources.
Assessment of papers, presentations and written works verifies the achievement of the effects of W1, U1 - U5, K2 - K3.
Assessment of participation in discussions checks the achievement of the effects of U3, K1, K2, K3.
