Seminar 0600-S2-SEM
The seminar includes:
- providing knowledge necessary to write a thesis
- improving the ability to write works that meet the formal and substantive requirements set for diploma theses
- familiarizing students with the principles of copyright law
- improving group work skills under the supervision of a supervisor
- improving the ability to search and process information necessary to independently write a master's thesis
Each student presents at least two papers:
1. presenting general information about the work he performs (theoretical introduction)
2. experimental part - the purpose of the work, the methods used and the results obtained.
Each paper ends with a discussion of the seminar participants on its content and the quality of the presentation and statements.
Laboratory: Within the hours allocated for the master's thesis, the student performs planned experiments and prepares the master's thesis under the supervision of an academic teacher.

Assessment criteria
The student receives a grade for the course, which consists mainly of the evaluation of papers, the evaluation of written work, but also the evaluation of participation in discussions on problems presented by other seminar participants.
Works are assessed taking into account:
- formal structure and clarity of presentation,
- substantive correctness of the presented content,
- freedom of expression and ability to establish contact with listeners.
Assessment of papers and presentations verifies the achievement of the following outcomes: W1-W4, U1, U2
Assessment of participation in discussions checks the achievement of the following effects: K2, K3, K5
The student completes a master's thesis and passes the master's examination: W1-W4, U1-U5, K1-K7
The required threshold for a satisfactory grade - 50-60%, satisfactory plus - 61-65%, good 66-75%, good plus 76-81%, very good - 82-100%.
