(in Polish) Toksykologia 0600-S2-O-T
The lecture will begin with an introduction to the terminology used in toxicology (including the concept of poison, doses, toxicity of the compound, and types of poisoning). Then, the types and characteristics of poisons in the human environment will be discussed, considering the factors determining the formation of poisoning. The relationship between the physicochemical structure of xenobiotics and their toxic effects will be discussed. The problem of carcinogenesis and the factors causing cancer formation will be discussed.
