Diploma work 0600-S2-CM-LD

The course program includes a diploma laboratory, which is a preparation for independent completion of a diploma thesis
within the following topics consistent with the topic of the Department/Department where the work is carried out. The purpose of the subject is preparation
the student to independently formulate a research problem, create a work plan, study literature and critically analyze it,
conducting empirical research, collecting and interpreting data, formulating conclusions and writing a thesis on this basis
diploma. The student will be familiarized with the methodology of creating works in the form of a scientific monograph - diploma thesis and will receive
technical support in independent preparation and editing of the diploma thesis.

Contact hours with teacher - 300 hrs Individual work - 450 hrs Total: 750 hrs (30 ECTS)

Learning outcomes - knowledge

W1: has extended knowledge of various branches of chemistry (K_W01) W2: has in-depth knowledge in a selected field enabling research (K_W02) W3: knows analytical and instrumental methods (K_W03)

Learning outcomes - skills

U1: can use the knowledge acquired in the research laboratory (K_U01). U2: can select the conditions for analysis and identification of selected compounds (K_U09) U3: is able to plan and conduct an experiment and analyze the results (K_U07). U4: is able to use current literature sources in both languages. Polish and English (K_U05)

Learning outcomes - social competencies

K1: can work in a team and organize work effectively (K_K02) K2: sees a problem and is able to solve it (K_K05). K3: draws and formulates conclusions from own research (K_K06)

Teaching methods

Laboratory work: - experience design, - carrying out experiments using various techniques and laboratory equipment appropriate for the selected laboratory and research topics, - analysis and processing of the obtained results, - working with scientific literature, - discussion.

Assessment criteria

Passing the course based on the grade from the laboratory: The basis for the grade is: performance of laboratory tasks formulated by
thesis supervisor, degree of mastery of basic research techniques related to the topic of the master's thesis, preparation,
an individual, basic workstation to perform your own research.
