Membranes and their morphology. Membrane properties. Methods of membrane preparation. Membrane systems, membrane modules. Membrane separation processes: a) diffusional - dialysis, gas separation, pervaporation, separation in systems with liquid membranes; b) pressure driven processes; c) thermal - membrane distillation. Mono- and bipolar ion-exchange membranes: morphology properties and preparation. Electrically driven separation processes. Membranes in the specific processes: membrane electrodes, sensors, catalytic membranes (including enzymatic membranes).
