Fundamentals of bioanalytics 0600-S1-W-PB
Theoretical foundations in medicinal chemistry, drug chemistry, food chemistry. Historical outline. Terminology. Structure and properties of
the cell. Characteristics of lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, enzymes, receptors, nucleic acids. Basics of proteomics, genomics and
metobolomics. Structure of DNA and RNA. Antibodies. Chirality. Theoretical basis of selected chromatographic, electromigration,
spectroscopic, radiometric, immunological techniques, mass analyzers, ion detectors. Modern methods of analysis of bio-molecules.
Specific methods of sample preparation. Criteria of operation of research and clinical laboratories. Quality assurance systems.
Accreditation and certification of laboratories. Analytical procedures and their validation. Statistical evaluation of results.
