Diploma laboratory 0600-S1-O-LD
The course program includes 75 hours of diploma laboratory work and serves as preparation for the independent completion of a diploma thesis within the framework of topics consistent with the Department/Institute where the work is being carried out. The aim of the course is to prepare the student to formulate a research problem independently, create a work plan, study literature and its critical analysis, conduct empirical research, collect and interpret data, formulate conclusions, and write a thesis based on this. The student will be introduced to the methodology of creating works of a scientific monograph nature - a diploma thesis and will receive technical support in independently preparing and editing the diploma thesis.

Assessment criteria
The diploma laboratory is assessed by the supervisor/advisor of the diploma thesis in terms of knowledge and skills. The continuous assessment set by the supervisor includes engagement, diligence, adherence to deadlines and arrangements regarding the experimental part of the diploma thesis, theoretical preparation, and progress in writing the diploma thesis.
