Lecture:
Obtaining waste forest and agricultural biomass for energy purposes. Establishing plantations of energy crops. Techniques of effective combustion and co-combustion of biomass and traditional fuels. Potential and methods of obtaining liquid biofuels: bioethanol, biodiesel, bioethers. Physicochemical and energy properties of biogas, methods of purification and enrichment of this product, and cogeneration of electricity and heat in spark engines. Practical conditions for the construction and operation of agricultural biogas plants. The current state and prospects for the development of bioenergy in Poland.
Laboratory:
Obtaining waste forest and agricultural biomass for energy purposes. Calculation of the potential of solid, liquid and gaseous biomass in Poland. Study of the heat of combustion of biomass. Production and analysis of biodiesel. Study of the composition of biogas. Calculation of the heat of combustion and calorific value of biogas on the basis of its composition. Biomass agglomeration.
