Safety and efficiency of cosmetics 0600-S1-ChK-BiSK
Lecture:
During the lectures, legal regulations concerning the production of cosmetics, as well as the principles of evaluating the safety of cosmetic raw materials and finished products, will be discussed. The lectures will cover the theoretical foundations of toxicology and the rules for cosmetic labeling. Prohibited substances in cosmetics will be presented, along with raw materials with potential allergenic or sensitizing effects, the use of which is restricted. Students will become familiar with the responsibilities of individuals accountable for placing cosmetics on the market and ensuring their safety. Various methods for testing final products before their market release will also be covered.
Laboratorium:
Students will evaluate the effects of various cosmetics on biophysical skin parameters, including stratum corneum hydration, skin surface pH, and casual sebum level.
