(in Polish) Nowoczesne materiały dla inżynierii tkankowej 0600-S1-CM-PW7a-NMIT
Lecture
The course aims to introduce students to the subject of tissue engineering. The structure of connective tissue and the interactions of materials with tissues will be discussed. The basic materials (ceramic, polymer, natural, synthetic, hydrogel) used to obtain scaffolds for cell culture, their applications and methods of characterizing and modifying these materials will be presented. Types of cells used in tissue engineering will also be discussed, with particular emphasis on stem cells.
Lab
During laboratory classes, students become familiar with selected methods of obtaining biomaterials in practice. They will also become familiar with methods of assessing the properties of biomaterials (mechanical properties, structure, swelling, surface properties).
