New trends in cosmetic industry 0600-OG-NTBK
The lecture will discuss the structure of skin and hair in the context of their care. The operation of cosmetics and their individual ingredients, such as cleansing substances, auxiliary substances (e.g. consistency-forming agents, dyes, preservatives, fragrances), and active substances (e.g. moisturizing, anti-wrinkle, conditioning, brightening, anti-acne substances) will be explained. The basics of knowledge about makeup cosmetics, pigments, dyes, the color wheel, and the basics of makeup will be presented.
Based on the acquired knowledge, the student will be encouraged to critically evaluate information and expose myths about cosmetics. Does SLES accumulate in the body? Do parabens cause cancer? Do silicones "clog" skin pores? During the lecture, we will find answers to these other questions together.
We will look at new trends on the market - technologically advanced cosmetics, nanotechnologies in cosmetics, eco-cosmetics, anti-smog cosmetics, vegan cosmetics, etc. A real need or just a fashion?
Issues related to household chemicals will also be discussed - washing and cleaning agents. Do the preparations on store shelves poison us? Is chemical-free cleaning possible? We will look at new trends and "eco" solutions in washing and cleaning products.
